Year 1595 – the long and brutal war is finally over. Brothers Knut and Erik – who are part of the commission marking the border between Finland and Russia – commit a terrible sin as they leave a young girl to die a horrible death. Antti-Jussi Annila (1977)

Born in Helsinki, he studied at the Tampere Polytechnic/School of Art and Media and is the director of several short films. He debuted as a feature filmmaker with Jade Warrior (2006), a tribute to kung fu films. Sauna is his second feature length film.
